“There is nothing — absolutely nothing — half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats. In or out of ’em, it doesn’t matter.” – Spoken by Ratty to Mole in Wind in the Willows a children’s book by Kenneth Grahame (1859-1932).
Sailing is also one of the few sports that can truly be enjoyed by the whole family, from youngest child to grandparents, and it’s a great sport for parents to enjoy with children, whether it be sailing together in a double-handed dinghy, in single-handed dinghies, or as a larger group on a yacht.
Visitors with some experience are welcome to contact the club and try out one of the dinghies. Formal sailing instruction is offered by the Bay Sailing Academy.
