Hello all,

This Weekend the RYC will be a hive of activity as we prepare for the opening of the season and following the huge interest shown in them last weekend the new RS Tera and RS Feva sailboats will also be available on both Saturday and Sunday for anyone wanting to try them out.

The program for this weekend is as follows:-

• Saturday 29 August - 13h00 till 16h00 - RS Tera & RS Feva demonstration
• Sunday 30 August - 11h00 till 16h00 - RS Tera & RS Feva demonstration
• Sunday 30 August - from 12h00 - Work party to clean slipway and boat sheds

All sailing members are asked to please make themselves available and be at the Club to assist with the work party on Sunday. Many hands make light work and the tasks requiring attention (cleaning of the slipway and sweeping out / tidying the boat sheds) is for the direct benefit of the sailors. Please bring your own broom and a couple of bin bags. The galley will be open and serving light meals and cold beer on Sunday so no excuses please!

Next weekend the RYC 2009/10 Sailing Season officially opens with the traditional regatta on both Saturday and Sunday.

The program for next weekend is as follows:-

• Saturday 05 September - Races 1 & 2 - Start time is 14h00
• Saturday 05 September - Cocktail Party - 18h30 for 19h00
• Sunday 06 September - Races 2 & 3 - Start time is 14h00

Following the great spread of treats we enjoyed after the AGM we are once again asking each family to please bring a plate of snacks for the opening of the season cocktail party next Saturday night so there will be no cover charge. A full bar will be available.
