So we are now well and truly a 110 years old !!!!
A great lunch was had by all that attended on Sunday and much reminiscing was done by our ex Commodores, some of them had not seen each other or the club for years and our newer members hearing some good stories of old.Like to thank everybody that helped make it a great day. Well after all the green tea’s etc that were had five sailors decided to go out and sail two races for the summer series which was enjoyed by them all, quite a stiff breeze I believe the term was for a strong easterly with great gusts !!! Unfortunately our present Commodore decided that you can sail a Finn better without bungs and retired before the boat sunk ( should have drunk green tea Andrew!!). It was great to see 2 pupils from Kingswood sailing the Gypsy, maybe practising for the Africa’s ??
This Sunday sees us sail race 3 & 4 of the Summer series start not before 14-00 hopefully the wind might be a bit kinder to some lighter sailors 🙂 .
Also do remember there is sailing school on Sunday morning contact Darryl for more info firstname.lastname@example.org
That’s all for now folks , See you at the river on Sunday.
