Hello fellow members,
The wind god decided not to favour us this past Saturday by giving us a very freeeeesh SW wind so we couldn’t sail the Bailey Southwell it has been postponed to a later date — watch this space.
On Sunday the wind was far better and a mixture of yachts took off in the Island Cup race the wind unfortunately did die towards the end but a good race was had with guess who winning ? that’s it Trevor, but he didn’t have it all his own way, Ralph came second with the Arnold’s in third place. It was good to see 3 Finns on the water.
This Sunday we are sailing Autumn series 3 & 4 with a 11-00 start a good practice for our scholars for the next weekend when it is Interschools. The weather at the moment doesn’t look too bad. The following weekend we are hosting the Eastern Cape Interschools regatta so for all the older sailors there will be no sailing but that doesn’t mean you mustn’t come down to the club and give it your support and help if you can. That’s it for now folks. See you on the water ( maybe)
